Counselling Fees

My counselling work includes individuals, couples and families.

Sessions are one hour long. A telephone session is fifty minutes. No fee is charged for short telephone consults and questions.

AG Counselling fees are in accordance with the recommended fee guidelines set forth by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.

Cancellation of Appointments

Please understand that when you make an appointment, I am reserving that time for you. If you are late, there may or may not be a possibility of extending your session to give you your full time.

If you miss an appointment, that is time that could have been spent with another client, therefore it is necessary for me to charge for missed appointments. There will be no charge if notice is given 24 hours before the session, or if you are ill or have an emergency.

Payment

Payment for counselling services is normally expected at the time of service. Only cash or cheques are accepted.

AG Counselling will issue a receipt for you upon request to forward to your benefits plan or program for reimbursement, or to claim as medical expenses for income tax purposes.

If you have Extended Health Benefits (EHB) or are part of an Employees Assistance Program (EAP), you may also be covered for counselling services. We recommend you contact your EHB or EAP provider to understand the details of your coverage.
